Australian Cane Farmers Association

ACFA is a national organisation representing the interests of cane farmers from NSW to Far North Queensland.


A lobby, representation and services group with 19 offices across Queensland and NSW. Six local offices in the Wet Tropics are actively involved in WTSIP - Mossman, Cairns Region, Tablelands, Innisfail, Tully and Herbert River.

Herbert Cane Productivity Services Ltd

HCPSL is a not for profit organisation funded by growers and millers that provides services regarding cane productivity and the control of disease and pests.

Innisfail Babinda Cane Productivity Services Ltd

IBCPSL is a not-for-profit company funded by a levee fee paid by local growers. It works towards increasing cane productivity, managing profitability and controlling disease and pests, along with providing a reliable and honest chemical retail service.

Mossman Agricultural Services

MAS is a not for profit organisation providing productivity services to growers in the Mossman district. They also have a retail outlet for agricultural products.

MSF Sugar

Based in Gordonvale, MSF is a leading integrated agribusiness that grows, processes, markets and exports raw sugar.

Sugar Research Australia (SRA)

SRA is an industry funded company that invests in and manages a portfolio of research, development and extension projects that drive productivity, profitability and sustainability for the Australian sugarcane industry.

Terrain NRM

Terrain NRM is a not for profit organisation that provides planning direction, information, advice and practical support on natural resource management in the Wet Tropics.

Tully Cane Productivity Services Ltd

TCPSL is a not for profit organisation based in Tully. It is funded by growers and millers and provides services regarding cane productivity and the control of disease and pests.

Tully Sugar Ltd

Tully Sugar operates one of Australia's biggest sugar mills in Tully. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chinese agribusiness COFCO.



Wilmar owns and operates eight sugar mills in North and Central Queensland, which together manufacture more than half of Australia’s raw sugar. While the majority of their business is dedicated to producing raw sugar, they're also market leaders in sweeteners and are pursuing sugar as a renewable and sustainable resource.
